The short version: PromptUp only collects your email address when you create an account. Your prompts are sent to our server to be improved and are never stored. We use Stripe for payments and Supabase for authentication. We don't sell your data to anyone.
PromptUp ("we", "us", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that improves AI prompts with one click. Our website is getpromptup.netlify.app. For privacy questions, contact us at flowiwghar@gmail.com.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never see your actual password.
Prompt data: When you click "Improve", your prompt text is sent to our server to be processed by Claude AI (Anthropic). We do not store your prompts after processing.
Payment information: If you upgrade to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details.
Usage data: We store a daily improvement count locally in your browser to enforce the free tier limit. This data never leaves your device.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.
Your account data is stored securely by Supabase using industry-standard encryption. Our server is hosted on Railway in the United States. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using PromptUp, you consent to this transfer.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

PromptUp is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of PromptUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
